With her first wing gone, a frantic hum filled the air as the Delicious Cicada thrashed her second wing. Could she escape? Against two blades of the mantis mandibles, her last wing finally stopped moving.

The Deliciuos Cicada watched herself fully unravel. Her wish for survival now faded into something else: the eyes of the mantis gazing down at her.
